Xiong Di is a short documentary that centres around the life of Qu Maomao, a young Chinese man working in an underwear factory. With its beautiful cinematography and stunning slow motion, the film focuses on the actual lives of the factory workers; how they live, how they work and how they play. The film presents itself in a format that allows Qu to tell audiences his own story, rather than it be told for him. The film is relatable and able to get a relatively large amount of information into a concise six minute short.
